Récolté sur des calcaires durs, ce vin se boit plutôt jeune. Ses arômes de fleurs blanches et d’agrumes, sa grande minéralité en font l’allié des plateaux de fruits de mer et des crustacés. Excellent apéritif, il est aussi l’accompagnement idéal des asperges, les huîtres, les poissons crus ou cuits au court-bouillon et les poissons marinés : méli-mélo de thon rouge & saumon citron à l’huile d’olive, sashimis, espadon mariné au vinaigre balsamique et à l’huile d’olive, avocat aux crevettes.

The hard limestone and chalk soil has given this sauvignon a nice minerality and wonderful acidity. Pretty rich and juicy, it has aromas of yellow and green fruits that are laced with lime acidity. Pulling on broom, candied lemon and exotic fruits, its body is slippery and greedy. The wine has depth with concentrated fruitiness, not overly explosive but rather lean and elegant!!

Dit is een goed jaar geweest! Fijne zuurtjes van lime, pear, green herbs en wat stenen. Lange, fijne afdronk, afdronk wordt uiteindelijk een hele fijne bitter; mooi ontwikkeld al.

If one can talk about spicy, strong white wine, this is such wine ! Yes, some fruits are in the glass, but certainly also minerals, tannins and « chili-like » spices ! Superb follower for good food … Next time I try together with the cheese !

Dai suoli ricchi di calcare e gesso,questo vino ha preso la sua caratteristica mineralita’ e la notevole acidita’,che lo contraddistinguono.Nel calice si mostra col suo colore paglierino,quasi dorato;al naso è intenso,note floreali di acacia,messe in secondo piano sentori agrumati di limone verde e pompelmo,e mineralita ‘.In bocca e’ pieno,succoso,dotato di grande freschezza,non aggressiva,discreta sapidita ‘e buona persistenza.I sentori agrumati percepiti al naso,trovano corrispondenza con il palato.Buono.

Al Sauvignon non so resistere, e qui scatta il vinicidio! 5ha di vigneto fra i 15 e i 35 anni, terreno calcareo e agricoltura biologica donano a questo vino intense note minerali a cui si affiancano fiori bianchi, pera e note agrumate. Intenso complesso e fine, persistente e sapido, sufficientemente armonico, pronto, da riprovare fra due anni, quando avrà raggiunto la sua maturità gustativa.

Blind, I’d have guessed I was drinking something closer to New Zealand than Sancerre. A balanced yet forward, citrussy style, ample in every way without being too much, plus some dustiness (which I love). Too good for just one bottle–just ordered more.

Great wine! Richer texture than expected (M-B ages on the fine lees in stainless steel), ripe lemon, quince, light grassiness, apple, and yellow grapefruit. Med+ acidity, dry with a med body and the palate adds green apple, a nice mineral character, and a bit more grass than present on the nose. Again, great wine. Drink it now for its freshness and balance. The finish us a bit shorter than desired and a bit pithy. Would buy again.
